Before OffDeal, Alston engineered large-scale machine learning systems at Meta and Google, serving billions of users in real time.

Alston’s passion for small businesses traces back to his family’s corner PC shop, instilling empathy for the hard choices owners face every day. That empathy now fuels his drive to build technology that empowers business owners during one of their most critical decisions: selling their business.

Alston also co-founded Bizwise, a venture-backed company that automated back-office workflows for SMBs, and led a 50-engineer software division on Waterloo’s WATonomous self-driving car team.

In 2024, OffDeal raised $4.7M from top-tier investors to help more business owners get acquired and achieve life-changing outcomes.
