What happened

Landscape Workshop, a commercial landscape maintenance company based in Birmingham, Alabama, announced on April 17, 2026, that it had acquired 4-Ever-Green Lawn Care R.K.P., Inc., a South Florida lawn care company. Owners Marc Rynar and Rick Lewis will continue in leadership roles, working with Landscape Workshop on operations and client relationships across South Florida, and all 4-Ever-Green employees are joining the Landscape Workshop team. Richard Breit of Breit Law represented 4-Ever-Green, and Stuart Maxey, Butler Sparks and Ben Glicklich of Bradley Arant were legal counsel to Landscape Workshop. The announcement did not include a price or other financial terms.

The seller

4-Ever-Green is a Florida corporation filed in December 2002, with Lewis as president and Rynar as vice president. The Better Business Bureau records the business itself as started in 1985. The company's principal address is in Boynton Beach and its mailing address in Delray Beach, and it holds a Broward County business tax license.

Landscape Workshop CEO J.T. Price credited the two owners with "a strong business with a great reputation, loyal customers, and employees who take pride in their work." Rynar described a company built "around high-quality service and long-term relationships," and said it was important to the owners "to find a partner who sees the business the same way we do."

The buyer

Landscape Workshop has maintained commercial properties for nearly 40 years, with services running from landscape maintenance and enhancements to seasonal color, irrigation, installation, snow and ice management, and facility services. An Ares Private Equity fund acquired a majority stake in May 2025, when the company reported 38 locations across the Southeast; in that announcement Price thanked Carousel Capital for its partnership over the previous five years. At the time of the 4-Ever-Green deal, Landscape Workshop listed more than 50 locations across 14 states, from Maryland and Virginia to Kansas and Louisiana.

"Expanding in South Florida is a priority for us, and 4-Ever-Green strengthens our presence in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding communities," Price said.

Three deals around Fort Lauderdale in eight months

4-Ever-Green was not Landscape Workshop's first deal in the Fort Lauderdale area. In October 2025 it acquired Luigi's Landscaping Co., Inc., which added a Broward County facility to the ones it already ran in Dade County, Naples, Tampa and Orlando; Luigi's founder and CEO, Ralph Marano, joined in an ambassador role. In June 2026, two months after 4-Ever-Green, it announced Palm Atlantic Landscape Maintenance, again naming Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Atlantic owner Bob Bollon joined as a senior account manager. What this means for South Florida lawn care owners

Same buyer, same market, same eight months, and the owners of those three companies came out in three different roles. The seat an owner holds after closing differed deal by deal rather than following one template. At 4-Ever-Green, both partners kept leadership roles covering operations and client relationships, the customer base Price credited when he announced the deal. An owner fielding interest from a buyer already active in his county should treat his post-close role as part of the negotiation and settle it in the letter of intent, not after closing.
