Riverview Landscapes acquired Kevin Labadini Corporation, a commercial landscaping and snow management company headquartered in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, in a deal announced July 13, 2026. Riverview describes the deal as a tuck-in to its Boston Metro West branch. The Shrewsbury facility will keep serving Labadini's customers, supported by the branch's operations in Hudson, about 20 minutes away. Operations Manager Patrick Pereirra and Account Manager Lori Labadini Iagallo are staying with Riverview. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kevin Labadini's grandfather started the company in 1953. It began in Wellesley and moved to Marlborough before settling in Shrewsbury, according to the Worcester Business Journal. Kevin's father, Robert, ran it for many years with his brothers Ronald and Richard, and later sold it to Kevin.
Over the past several years, Kevin, Iagallo and Pereirra moved the business away from landscape construction and toward recurring landscape maintenance. Its work spans landscape maintenance, irrigation, masonry and stone retaining walls, and snow removal, for commercial, institutional and residential customers.
"I have spent 30 years building this business, and choosing the right partner was something I took seriously," Kevin Labadini said in the announcement.
The business has since taken the Riverview Landscapes name, introduced to its customers as "New name, same great team."
Riverview was founded in 2022, and Labadini was the 26th acquisition it had completed. It has more than 800 employees and serves thousands of customers across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. It is backed by management and Talus Holdings, which the Worcester Business Journal describes as a New York-based private investment firm.
Riverview CFO Liam Burrell said the company had been "in close contact with Kevin for over two years and watched him thoughtfully evolve the business during that time," and called Labadini "a great operator, a loyal customer base, and a clear vision for where the company is headed."
Riverview entered Massachusetts in September 2024 by acquiring Guerrini Landscape, a Mansfield company founded in 1978. In March 2026 it bought Unisource Commercial Landscape of Hudson, founded in 2006 by Mike and Brady Otey. Unisource's landscaping and cleaning operations became the new Boston Metro West branch, with Unisource's Matthew Larson as branch manager, and its managed services division became a separate branch. Riverview counted them as its third and fourth branches in New England.
Labadini joined that Hudson branch four months later. Riverview announced its 20th acquisition in January 2026, and its 27th, B&B Landscaping & Gardening of Cortlandt Manor, New York, a week after Labadini. Unisource and Labadini show the two ways a company has joined this platform in Massachusetts. Unisource became a branch, run by its own manager. Labadini, owned by three generations of one family, was folded into that branch, and its name gave way to Riverview's. The people kept were the operations and account managers, the roles customers deal with every week. For a commercial landscaper owner, this deal is the tuck-in case in plain view: when the buyer already had a branch down the road, the customers and the team they knew stayed, and the company name did not.
