Beary Landscaping, a commercial landscaping and snow removal company headquartered in Lockport, Illinois, acquired Seasonal Solutions, a commercial landscape management and snow removal company based in Overland Park, Kansas. Beary announced the deal on June 3, 2025, in the same release that announced its purchase of certain commercial landscaping assets from Suburban Landscaping, a Northwest Indiana provider. Brian Beary, the company's founder and CEO, said the acquisition "marks our entry into the attractive Kansas City market." Beary is keeping Seasonal's existing staff and brand. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Barry Wolff founded Seasonal Solutions in 1997 and was its president at the time of the sale. The company's commercial business is built on recurring services for corporate campuses, retail centers and healthcare facilities. It also takes on landscape enhancements, from design and renovation to seasonal flower rotations, along with irrigation work and residential lawn care. Its team's background includes more than 12 years in Kansas City-area commercial real estate sales and property management.
Its customers include Town Center Apartments, and it won the AAKC Annual Crystal Merit Award for best landscaping of the year in 2016 and 2017.
"I am excited to join forces with Beary and continue scaling our combined business throughout the Midwest," Wolff said in the announcement. "Beary shares our commitment to taking care of our employees, and this partnership will enable Seasonal Solutions to provide even greater value to our customers."
Brian Beary founded Beary Landscaping in 1985. The company provides recurring landscaping and snow removal to commercial end markets, including utilities, multifamily communities, office buildings and municipalities.
Beary is a portfolio company of Silver Oak Services Partners, a lower-middle-market private equity firm that invests only in service businesses. Silver Oak announced in May 2024 that it had led a recapitalization of Beary in partnership with management, and said at the time that the existing management team would keep a significant ownership stake. When that deal was announced, Beary served more than 1,200 customers across Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. By the Seasonal Solutions announcement, it served more than 1,500 customers across those five states and Kansas.
As of the June 2025 announcement, Beary counted three acquisitions since its partnership with Silver Oak began in December 2023. Its acquisitions also include MJS Landscaping Services of Waukesha, Wisconsin, in March 2025, another business founded in 1997. Beary added Sun Valley Landscaping in the Indianapolis region in September 2025.
"We are very proud to partner with Barry Wolff and the entire Seasonal Solutions team, which aligns perfectly with our strategy to partner with best-in-class operators who pride themselves on service," Brian Beary said.
Kansas became the sixth state in Beary's footprint through this deal, and Beary got there by buying an established local operator rather than opening a branch. The business it bought is founder-led, and its apartment, corporate-campus, and property-manager customers line up with the multifamily and office end markets Beary already served. The platform bought a customer roster, not just a crew.
Brian Beary said the company is "excited to leverage Seasonal's brand and expertise to continue growing in the region," so Kansas City owners with recurring commercial work now have a sponsor-backed buyer operating in their own market. Whether a buyer keeps the name and the team, as Beary did here, is a term to raise early, and our guide to selling a landscaping business to private equity covers the rest of what to ask.
