Bailey's Heating & Air Joins Service Country Platform

What happened

Service Country, an Atlanta-based platform of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies, announced on September 28, 2026, that it had partnered with Bailey's Heating & Air of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Bailey's was one of five businesses named in the same announcement. The others were GNG Plumbing in Orange Beach, Alabama; Southern Trust Home Services in Roanoke, Virginia; All Tech Plumbing, Heat & Air in Lawton, Oklahoma; and Springfield Heating and Air in Madison, Mississippi. Service Country said each company will continue operating under its existing brand and local leadership. The announcement calls each deal a partnership and does not say whether ownership changed hands. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company

Bailey's has served North Georgia for more than 30 years. It provides residential heating and air conditioning repair, replacement, and maintenance, along with indoor air quality, ductwork, and home weatherization work. The company works on both sides of the state line, from Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Jasper in Tennessee to Rossville, Dalton, and Calhoun in Georgia. It holds contractor licenses in both states and is an American Standard Customer Care Dealer. The business operates as Bailey's Heating, Air and Electrical, LLC and is run by Randy Bailey.

The partner

Service Country partners with residential home services companies in smaller cities and towns across the Southeast. George Easley is its CEO. Grove Mountain Partners, an Atlanta private equity firm that invests in middle-market home service companies, is the platform's primary owner alongside its operator partners. John B. Koch, a partner at Grove Mountain, chairs Service Country. The September group extended the platform's presence across the Southeast and into Oklahoma.

"These five companies are a great representation of the type of businesses we want to partner with at Service Country," Easley said.

The platform began with McGee Heating & Air in South Carolina. By September 2024 it had five companies, which Koch said took eight months. That year's additions included Childers Air Plumbing & Electric in Beckley, West Virginia, and Bob Woodall, an air conditioning company in Dothan, Alabama.

How Service Country structures its partnerships

The 2024 announcement disclosed what the 2026 one does not. At Childers, Holsenback Heating and Air, and Bob Woodall, the operators stayed in place and reinvested equity in the platform. Grove Mountain has run this model before. It previously brought 12 HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies together as Unique Indoor Comfort, which Ace Hardware bought in April 2023. What this means for HVAC owners

For an owner, a promise to keep the brand and local leadership is easier to weigh when the sponsor making it has already taken a platform built on that promise through its own sale. The test of a partnership like this comes when the platform itself changes hands, and Grove Mountain's earlier platform has already faced it, with the local names intact by Service Country's account.
