Goldman Sachs-Backed Sila Buys Ultra Clean Duct Cleaning in Ohio Group Deal

What happened

Sila Services, LLC announced on January 13, 2026, that it had acquired NEOH, an Ohio home services group, and with it Ultra Clean Duct Cleaning, LLC, a duct and dryer vent cleaning company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The seller

Ultra Clean works from two locations, one in Uniontown in Stark County and one in New Philadelphia in Tuscarawas County, and covers both counties. Its work is air duct, dryer vent, and exhaust fan cleaning, plus the sale and installation of air purifiers built on ActivePure technology. It also services mobile homes.

The company came to Sila with the rest of NEOH: Simpson Heating & Air, Bonsky Heating & Cooling, Best Heating & Air Solutions, Coblentz Plumbing Solutions, and Trade Masters Academy. Sila describes NEOH as founded and led by HVAC industry veterans Chad Simpson and Steve VanHorn, and grown over more than 15 years with a focus on team and customer service.

The buyer

Sila Services is a home services platform headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. It provides HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, indoor air quality, and home performance services across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest, and traces its legacy to the early 1900s. It now operates more than 40 brands, up from the more than 30 it reported in November 2024.

That November, Goldman Sachs Alternatives' private equity business agreed to acquire a majority stake in Sila from affiliates of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. Under the terms announced, Sila's management would continue to lead the company and retain a significant minority stake.

Jason Rabbino, Sila's chief executive, said the NEOH acquisition "aligns with Sila's mission to provide exceptional home services to the communities we serve, while also investing in and expanding career opportunities across our trades."

Where Sila was already buying in Ohio

NEOH is not Sila's first Ohio acquisition. In September 2024, Sila acquired A to Z Dependable Services, a plumbing and HVAC company in Niles that was established in 1960 and serves the Mahoning Valley. What this means for duct cleaning owners

Ultra Clean did not reach a Goldman Sachs-owned platform through a standalone sale. It changed hands as one company in a group, acquired in the same transaction as the heating, cooling, and plumbing contractors it sat beside under Simpson and VanHorn's leadership. That puts a two-county duct and dryer vent cleaner inside a platform that already sells indoor air quality work across three regions. For a duct cleaning owner in Ohio, the buyer in this deal came through the HVAC and plumbing group the business belonged to, not through a sale of the duct cleaning company on its own.
