Announced: October 22, 2026 · Covers the 48 contiguous states · New CEO: 30+ years in logistics

Koliway LLC and Millhouse Logistics Services

What happened

Koliway LLC, a Kansas City, Kansas, firm that invests in and operates logistics businesses, has acquired Millhouse Logistics Services. Millhouse is a time-critical freight provider based in Fletcher, North Carolina. The two companies announced the deal on October 22, 2026, in separate releases, and Koliway appointed Bryan Foe chief executive of Millhouse with the acquisition.

Foe has more than 30 years in logistics, with executive roles at C.H. Robinson, GlobalTranz, and Carpool Logistics. Millhouse will continue operating under its established brand, operating authority, and service model, and the companies said customers and carriers will see no disruption. Neither release said who sold the company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The seller

Millhouse started as a garage-based company with a two-person team, serving the local North Carolina area. It describes itself as a business established and run by former drivers. It grew to cover the 48 contiguous states, then opened an office in Mexico and later offices in Canada and Romania.

The company specializes in time-critical freight: expedited ground, air freight including on-board courier, next-flight-out, and air charter, plus full truckload, drayage, and cross-border work. Ocean freight and warehousing sit alongside. Its customers are manufacturers, automotive companies and OEMs, aerospace and healthcare businesses, and importers and exporters. Shipments run through IVIA, Millhouse's proprietary software platform, which gives customers real-time tracking. Koliway will invest in that platform to speed up quoting and improve shipment visibility and automation.

The buyer

Chris Kolquist founded Koliway in 2021 and is its managing partner. The firm works only with logistics, transportation, and supply chain businesses, and it calls itself an "Industry Growth Partner." Koliway says that, "unlike traditional private equity firms," it "combines executive operating experience with investment, acquisition, and strategic advisory expertise to accelerate growth."

Kolquist said Millhouse "represents exactly what we look for in a growth partner: a trusted brand, exceptional carrier network with quality vetting processes for a large carrier base." Foe said, "Joining the Koliway platform gives us additional resources, operational expertise, and technology investments that will allow us to scale."

What this means for time-critical freight owners

For time-critical freight owners, this deal shows a buyer keeping the business an owner built, name and all, while handing the top job to an executive of its own choosing. What Koliway's founder singled out — the brand, the carrier network, and the way carriers are vetted — belongs to the company rather than to whoever runs it.
