BlueGrace Logistics, a managed logistics provider based in Tampa, Florida, announced on August 6, 2026, that it has acquired Truk TMS, a freight broker headquartered in Post Falls, Idaho. Truk TMS had operated as a BlueGrace partner before the deal. "Truk TMS has operated as one of our most trusted partners, and this acquisition is simply the natural next step in that relationship," said Bobby Harris, BlueGrace's founder and CEO. BlueGrace said it expects to integrate Truk TMS's day-to-day operations into its broader organization while ensuring continuity for customers. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Truk TMS is a broker focused on less-than-truckload (LTL) freight, and it also provides shippers with truckload and supply chain management services across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a heavy concentration in the Pacific Northwest, FreightWaves reported. Beyond LTL and truckload, it handles oversize, expedited, and cross-border loads and arranges international air and ocean shipments. The company previously operated as Fast Way Freight Management. Mark Barnes is its CEO.
Before the sale, Truk TMS already offered its shippers BlueShip, BlueGrace's proprietary transportation management system, as its own technology platform. Barnes described what changes for those customers: "Our customers get the same team and the same service they've always counted on, now backed by BlueGrace's full Managed Logistics platform and the trusted BlueShip technology behind it."
BlueGrace is a full-service third-party logistics provider and part of the technology portfolio of private equity firm Warburg Pincus. It serves more than 10,000 customers a year, and BlueShip connects it to more than 250,000 carriers. Its services span managed logistics, LTL, truckload, and parcel.
Truk TMS follows two BlueGrace acquisitions announced in 2025, and BlueGrace described their futures differently. FreightCenter, an online freight broker acquired in January 2025, "will continue to operate as an independent business under its current brand," BlueGrace said at the time. STB Freight Group, a Northville, Michigan, managed logistics company acquired that November, got the language Truk TMS got: BlueGrace expected to integrate its day-to-day operations into the broader organization. Truk TMS was bought by the company whose software it was already offering its own shippers, so the partnership had put the buyer's technology inside the business before any deal was announced. What the partnership did not settle is how the business would run after closing: the same buyer left one acquired company operating under its own brand and announced plans to integrate two others, Truk TMS included, into its organization. For brokers running on a larger 3PL's platform, brand and day-to-day independence are terms to settle in the deal itself, not something the relationship has already decided.
