Construction Resources Company, LLC has completed its acquisition of Fuse Specialty Appliances & Plumbing, a South Florida distributor of luxury appliances and plumbing fixtures with seven kitchen and bath showrooms in Naples, North Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Sarasota and Fort Myers. Construction Resources announced the deal from Atlanta on August 31, 2026. Fuse's three leaders, Tim Brohawn, Mike Robertson and Alexa Warner, remain in their roles. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Brohawn, Warner and Robertson set out on their own in 2018 and opened Fuse's first showrooms, in Fort Lauderdale and Naples, in 2019. The founders say they saw South Florida's builder community wanting a boutique luxury buying experience, and that the established players were weighed down by corporate bureaucracy at odds with their core customers, the region's mom-and-pop custom home builders. A Boca Raton showroom opened in 2024, and Fort Myers and Sarasota followed, bringing Fuse to the seven locations in the sale.
Fuse sells high-end residential appliances from brands including Sub-Zero, Gaggenau, Kalamazoo and La Cornue, outdoor kitchen lines such as Lynx, Coyote and Big Green Egg, and luxury kitchen and bath fixtures, with a plumbing showroom beside its Naples and North Palm Beach stores. Its customers are professional builders and interior designers.
The three partners addressed the sale directly: "Joining the Construction Resources family is an exciting milestone that will fuel our next phase of growth. Most importantly, our core team and leadership remain in place."
Atlanta-based Construction Resources distributes design-oriented surfaces, appliances, cabinets, plumbing fixtures and specialty products to professional contractors and designers in residential building and remodeling. The Home Depot acquired it in December 2023 by buying its parent, International Designs Group, from Mill Point Capital. In announcing that deal, Home Depot tied it to its strategy of winning a larger share of professional contractors' business. Mitch Hires, chief executive before the Home Depot deal, still leads the company.
"What attracted us most to Fuse was our shared dedication to a customer-first culture and their unparalleled expertise in luxury appliances and plumbing," Hires said.
Fuse is the fourth acquisition Construction Resources has announced in 2026, and its second appliance and plumbing distributor of the year. In January it bought The Jarrell Company, a Dallas luxury appliance, plumbing and lighting distributor, and kept President Eric Neel and his leadership team in place. The other two 2026 deals added natural stone and countertop businesses in the Tampa area and in Charleston and Savannah.
Fuse is Construction Resources' third Florida acquisition since April 2025. The first was Opustone, a Miami stone and tile distributor founded in 2001, which it bought from Mosaic Companies; a Tampa-area countertop fabricator followed in March 2026. Opustone still operates under its own name, as a sister brand to UMI Stone. Its showrooms in Miami and Fort Lauderdale sit in two of the cities where Fuse has showrooms, and both companies sell to South Florida builders and interior designers. For those customers, one Home Depot subsidiary now owns the stone supplier and the appliance and fixture showroom on the same custom-home project. OffDeal covers the plumbing and fixture side of this buyer universe on its home and facility services industry page.
Fuse went from its first two showrooms in 2019 to a sale to a Home Depot subsidiary seven years later, with its three founding partners remaining in leadership roles. For showroom owners, that means the buyer across the table may already be selling stone to his builders and designers. Fuse and Jarrell both closed with their leadership staying in place, which gives an owner in this buyer's markets a recent precedent to cite when negotiating who runs the business after closing.
