Kerrville's Holloway Plumbing Joins Team First Home Services Platform

What happened

Holloway Plumbing, a residential plumbing company in Kerrville, Texas, has joined Team First Home Services, the plumbing platform Grove Mountain Partners launched in March 2026. Team First announced the partnership on September 14, 2026, describing Holloway as a plumbing provider serving Kerrville and the surrounding Texas Hill Country communities. The announcement calls the deal a partnership and does not say whether Team First acquired Holloway outright or took a stake. Holloway will keep operating under its own brand. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company

Holloway works out of Schreiner Street in Kerrville and has served the Hill Country for nearly 50 years, across a territory that runs from Kerrville and Ingram to Boerne, Fredericksburg, Bandera, and Hunt. The work is residential and commercial plumbing with 24/7 emergency service: drains and sewer lines, including hydro jetting and trenchless sewer repair, water heaters, gas lines, and water softening and filtration. It also installs and repairs water well pumps.

The buyer

Team First is a residential services platform focused on plumbing, sewer, water, and related home services. It was founded in 2025, and Grove Mountain, an Atlanta private equity firm that invests in home and specialty business services, announced its launch on March 10, 2026, with Bornhorst as CEO. Stephen Fraser, a partner at Grove Mountain, is chairman.

Halls Rooter & Plumbing in Midland was among the partners named when Team First launched, and the Holloway announcement says the new partnership follows that investment. Team First describes what it is assembling as "a network of 10-12 high-integrity majority residential plumbing companies across the U.S.," and sets itself against what it counts as "over 70 HVAC platforms" trying to add plumbing on the side.

What Grove Mountain did with its last platform

Team First points to Unique Indoor Comfort as its team's previous platform. Unique began in June 2021 with the purchase of three related companies and grew to twelve plumbing, HVAC and electrical businesses in the eastern U.S., including A-Total Plumbing. Grove Mountain sold Unique to Ace Hardware in a transaction that closed on April 12, 2023. According to Grove Mountain, all of the owners remained as presidents of their companies, and the chief executive and management team stayed on to run the business under Ace.

What this means for Texas plumbing owners

Holloway is joining a platform whose sponsor has already taken one home services platform from its first deal to a sale to a strategic buyer in 22 months. Team First now has partners in Midland and Kerrville and says it continues to seek residential plumbing companies across the country. The platform says the Ace Hardware sale delivered strong returns for Unique's plumbing and HVAC operator partners, and it tells new partners they will share in the value generated across its portfolio. For a Texas plumber weighing selling to private equity, that means part of what a partner owner stands to earn, by Team First's own description, comes from the platform as a whole rather than from the price paid for one company, and the Unique sale is the precedent to ask it about.
