Bealing Roofing & Exteriors Joins Trivest-Backed Canopy Services Platform

What happened

Bealing Roofing & Exteriors, a residential roofing, gutter and siding contractor based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, has joined Canopy Services, the roofing platform backed by Trivest Partners. Canopy announced the partnership on April 14, 2026, saying Bealing had "officially joined the Canopy Services family." The announcement did not disclose financial terms or say what stake, if any, changed hands.

The company

Andy Bealing started what became Bealing Roofing in 2007. The company traces its start to his refusal to hand his own mother's home to a contractor he didn't trust. He grew up in Hanover, and the company works out of an office there on Black Rock Road, with a second location in Gettysburg.

Bealing serves homeowners in York and Adams counties in Pennsylvania and in Carroll, Baltimore and Montgomery counties in Maryland, and is registered as a home improvement contractor in both states. The work is residential roofing, siding and gutters, plus attic insulation and chimney repair, with select commercial projects. It is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, and it publishes its pricing, including its average price for a completed roof.

Andy Bealing, named in the announcement as owner and president, said the partnership "means we can keep doing things the Bealing way – honest, open, and willing – but with new tools, resources, and support to do it even better for our team and our customers."

The buyer

Canopy Services is a home services holding company that partners with roofing, gutter and related service businesses while keeping their local brands. It was formed in early 2023 with the acquisition of Adam Vaillancourt Roofing in Milford, New Hampshire. In January 2025, Miami private equity firm Trivest Partners announced it had invested in Canopy from its Mid-Market Fund VII, a $950 million fund launched in 2022 to make control and majority investments in founder- and family-owned businesses.

Chief executive Tim Russell was previously an executive at TurnPoint Services, an earlier Trivest portfolio company in HVAC and plumbing. Canopy has a director of integrations who leads the integration of newly acquired companies, and a technology and integration manager who handles systems for new partners.

"They've built a business on doing things the right way – and that's exactly the kind of partner we want to invest in," Russell said of Bealing. Canopy said in its announcement that the addition "deepens Canopy's footprint in the Mid-Atlantic."

Bealing is one of nine brands in Canopy's portfolio, which also includes roofing companies in Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Central Florida, Fort Lauderdale and Greater Seattle.

Canopy's second Mid-Atlantic partner in under six months

C&C Family Roofing, a residential roofing, siding and gutter company serving the Northeast Philadelphia suburbs and Central New Jersey, joined Canopy in October 2025. Gary and Rhonda Selleck founded it, and that announcement also quoted a co-founder, Gary Selleck, as president and owner. Bealing's counties lie west of C&C's market and run south across the Maryland line, making Bealing the only Canopy brand serving Maryland. What this means for Pennsylvania and Maryland roofing owners

In under six months Canopy has added two founder-run residential exteriors contractors in neighboring Mid-Atlantic markets. Both announcements quoted a founder as owner and president, and both companies sit in Canopy's portfolio under their own names. For a roofing owner anywhere between Hanover and the Philadelphia suburbs, that means a Trivest-backed buyer already has a brand on either side of him. Nor has a manufacturer program kept a contractor out: Canopy's portfolio holds Larson Home Services, a GAF Master Elite contractor in Wisconsin, and now Bealing, an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractor in Hanover.
