ACACIA Exterior Building Group and Seashore Construction

What happened

ACACIA Exterior Building Group announced a strategic investment in Seashore Construction and Bel-Mac Roofing in the release announcing its own launch. The two Northwest Florida companies are combining under the Bel-Mac name. Seashore is based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. ACACIA says existing local leadership will remain in place and customers will continue to work with the teams they know. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company

Brian Connell and Alex Kish founded Seashore Construction in 2005. The company does exterior building restoration and general commercial construction: building envelope restoration, wall and balcony coating systems, concrete and structural repair, and window and door replacement, along with new construction and commercial renovation. Its projects include condominiums and resorts such as Sugar Beach Condominiums and Destin Harbor Resort, as well as the Eglin Fire Station and the Mary Esther Library.

The two companies were connected before the deal. Seashore is one of the general contractors Bel-Mac names among its references. Travis Bell, who handles operations at Bel-Mac and serves as its secretary and treasurer, said: "Coming together with Seashore is something I've looked forward to for a long time, and I know what it will mean for our partners in the community."

Bel-Mac, founded in 1995, is a commercial and residential roofer led by its president, Bill Bell. The combined company offers roofing, waterproofing and coatings, concrete repair and restoration, exterior cladding and siding, and structural and framing work across Northwest Florida and the Gulf Coast. The combination brings those services together for property owners and managers, condominium associations, developers, and general contractors.

The investor

ACACIA Exterior Building Group is based in Alexandria, Virginia, and partners with and invests in established roofing and exterior building businesses. It brings together NECC in the Mid-Atlantic and the combined Bel-Mac. RCap Equity, an affiliate of Renovus Capital Partners, is ACACIA's investment partner. Renovus manages more than $2 billion across its sector-focused funds and other strategies.

Chief Executive Officer Cagen Williams lived in Northwest Florida for more than 30 years before moving to the Washington, D.C., area. "Northwest Florida is home to me," Williams said. "Our goal is to give this team the resources to grow while protecting the relationships, reputation and local roots that made both companies successful."

How NECC came together

ACACIA counts NECC and Ducks Roofing among its foundational investments. NECC, a commercial roofing and building envelope contractor, received an investment from RCap Equity Partners in 2024. In August 2025, NECC acquired Ducks Roofing, a Portsmouth, Virginia, roofer locally operated since 1976. Williams, then NECC's chief executive, said Ducks would become a dedicated branch led by Scott Gibson. Ducks is now NECC's Hampton Roads branch. In both regions, one company now operates under the other's name. Owners weighing a combination like this can read our guide on selling a roofing business to private equity.

What this means for roofing and exterior construction owners

For a waterproofing or restoration contractor, a roofing-led platform is a real buyer, and the roofer it already works beside can be the way in. That route comes with a trade-off to weigh early: the relationship that makes the deal possible also decides whose name the combined business carries.
