FirstRidge Service Partners and Weddle & Sons, Inc.

What happened

Weddle & Sons, Inc. Roofing, a roofing contractor headquartered in Manhattan, Kansas, has joined FirstRidge Service Partners, the residential roofing and restoration platform backed by Garnett Station Partners. FirstRidge announced the deal on June 24, 2026, as a new partnership. The announcement does not say whether FirstRidge acquired the company or took a stake in it. The same release named Erik Zadrozny as FirstRidge's chief revenue officer. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company

Brothers Eric, Allyn and Tim Weddle started the business when they were 17, 15 and 13, after agreeing to help friends replace the roof on an old farmhouse. They first called it E.A.T. Roofing, after their initials, and Weddle & Sons incorporated in Kansas in June 2001. Allyn Weddle is the company's president.

The company installs, maintains and repairs roofs, gutters and solar panels for homeowners and businesses in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado, and takes on storm-damage and insurance-claim work. It is a Tesla Premier Installer, which puts Tesla Solar Roof and Powerwall installations alongside its roofing work, and it holds CertainTeed, Owens Corning Platinum Preferred and GAF credentials. Beyond Manhattan, it runs offices in Salina, Topeka and Olathe in Kansas, Lincoln and Omaha in Nebraska, Denver and Estes Park in Colorado, and Jackson, Wyoming.

"Through our conversations over the past two years, it became clear to us that the FirstRidge team recognizes the value in the team we have built and in the trusted relationships we have established over the years with our customers," Allyn Weddle said. He called FirstRidge "a likeminded partner that will help us scale significantly, invest further in our talented team and unlock additional value for our customers, without sacrificing our culture, commitment to quality and reputation for excellent customer service."

The buyer

Garnett Station Partners launched FirstRidge in November 2023. Garnett Station is a principal investment firm founded in 2013 that manages approximately $4.5 billion of assets. Weddle & Sons is the eighth roofing contractor brand on the platform, which now operates in 11 states.

FirstRidge's leadership team includes executives running acquisitions and integration and operations. CEO Seth Wartak said Weddle & Sons "exemplifies the kind of company we aim to partner with – market-leading contractors who fit naturally within our existing portfolio and enhance our ability to deliver best-in-class roofing services across the 'hail belt' region."

Where FirstRidge's roofing brands sit

Every other brand FirstRidge lists is headquartered in Texas, Minnesota or Illinois. Four are in Texas, among them Andrus Brothers Roofing's Amarillo and Lubbock operations, and AMRG Exteriors in Minnetonka is one of two in Minnesota. Weddle & Sons is the first based in Kansas, and its offices reach north to Omaha and west to Denver and Jackson.

Garnett Station also backs Skybound Service Partners, a commercial roofing platform based in Carmel, Indiana, that it invested in during 2025, so the same sponsor now holds a residential roofing platform and a commercial one. What this means for roofing owners

For roofers in Kansas and Nebraska, a local competitor now has a sponsor-backed platform's acquisitions and integration staff behind it. FirstRidge's way into this stretch of the hail belt was a founder-run company already working in five states, with solar and Tesla installations in the mix, which is the profile Wartak described as fitting naturally within the portfolio. The other detail an owner can use is the timeline: by Allyn Weddle's account, the partnership came out of two years of conversations with FirstRidge before anything was announced.
