GNG Plumbing Joins Service Country Platform

What happened

Service Country, a platform of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical home service companies focused on smaller Southeastern cities and towns, announced on September 28, 2026, that GNG Plumbing had joined it as a partner company. GNG is based in Orange Beach, Alabama.

GNG was one of five businesses announced together. The other four all offer heating and air conditioning: Bailey's Heating & Air in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; Southern Trust Home Services in Roanoke, Virginia, which also does electrical and plumbing work; All Tech Plumbing, Heat & Air in Lawton, Oklahoma; and Springfield Heating and Air in Madison, Mississippi.

The announcement describes each deal as a partnership. It does not say when each company joined or whether Service Country bought the companies or took a stake. The announcement did not disclose financial terms.

The company

GNG Plumbing has served the Alabama Gulf Coast since 1986. Its territory covers Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Foley, along with Fort Morgan, Bon Secour, Elberta, Perdido Beach, and Lillian.

The company does residential and commercial plumbing. Its work runs from grinder station installation, maintenance, and repair to drain cleaning, leak detection, conventional and tankless water heaters, water treatment, and 24-hour emergency calls. GNG also operates a hardware store alongside the plumbing business. Pat Newsome holds the master plumber and gasfitter license listed for the company.

Under the partnership, GNG continues operating under its existing brand and local leadership. It draws on Service Country for marketing, operations, training, and technology support.

The partner

Service Country partners with residential heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical companies throughout the greater Southeastern United States, with a focus on smaller cities and towns. George Easley is its chief executive. Its lead investor is Atlanta-based Grove Mountain Partners, a private equity firm that invests in middle-market home service and specialty business service companies. John B. Koch, a partner at Grove Mountain, chairs Service Country.

"Service Country was built around the idea that great local home services companies do not need to give up the things that made them successful in order to reach their next stage of growth," Koch said in the announcement.

GNG is not the platform's first Alabama partner. In September 2024, Service Country announced three partners, among them Bob Woodall, a Dothan, Alabama, air-conditioning business that has served the Wiregrass community for more than 50 years. Of the eight partners named across those two announcements, GNG is the only one that does not offer heating and air conditioning. Service Country now partners with 12 branded companies.

Grove Mountain is Service Country's primary owner, alongside the platform's operating partners. The same group previously built Unique Indoor Comfort, a platform that was sold to Ace Hardware in April 2023.

What this means for plumbing owners

For a plumbing-only shop, the buyers worth counting include platforms built on heating and air, not just plumbing acquirers, because this one took on a business that sells neither. Owners can see how buyers approach plumbing and other home and facility services businesses before they decide whether to talk to any of them.
