American Service Partners and Howze Plumbing

What happened

American Service Partners, a newly launched residential home services platform based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has acquired Howze Plumbing, a plumbing company in Keller, Texas, that serves the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The platform announced its launch on October 7, 2026, and was formed through the acquisition of brands from two existing groups, Platform Partner Holdings (PPH) and Air Today Holdings (ATH). Howze is one of three brands the announcement names as its anchors, alongside A-One Refrigeration, which has served Washington's Tri-Cities since 1980, and John Stevenson Plumbing, Heating & Air, a San Diego family business since 1990.

The launch was funded by an institutional capital raise sponsored by Exuma Capital Partners, which the release says also delivers a successful outcome for investors in ATH. The release did not give a price or other financial terms.

The seller

Joey Howze, a master plumber, opened Howze Plumbing in January 1995. He started in the trade at 14, working for his uncle's company in Louisiana, attended Northwestern State University on a rodeo scholarship, and moved to Dallas–Fort Worth in 1985, where he worked for commercial and service plumbing companies before starting his own. Landyn Howze is listed alongside him in the company's management, and the release describes Howze as "a family name in Dallas–Fort Worth plumbing."

The company's work is mainly residential: repairs and repiping, leak and slab-leak detection, drain cleaning, hydro jetting and sewer work, tank and tankless water heaters, water treatment, and gas lines. It operates from Keller and serves nearby Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, and Trophy Club, as well as Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton, and Plano. The Better Business Bureau rates it A+.

The buyer

American Service Partners provides HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services to homeowners in 15-plus states. Exuma, the sponsor behind its capital, is an operator-first private equity firm based in South Florida that targets investments in technology, real estate, food and beverage, and home services.

Chief executive Landon Brewer has led PPH since 2022. He previously held roles with American Residential Services, Legacy Service Partners, and Clockwork Home Services, and he scaled Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing ahead of its acquisition by Cortec Group. PPH describes itself as a management consulting company that brings executive leadership and shared services to independently owned home services businesses, and its broader network continues to operate alongside the new platform.

"Traditional buy-and-flip and buy-and-build private equity has faced headwinds in home services, and that has opened a real opportunity," Brewer said. "This isn't an ordinary roll-up. We partner with brands that already have strong names, loyal customers and great teams." Anthony Perera, Exuma's founder and managing partner, said: "Landon and his operators lead this platform, and access to institutional capital lets them build what local brands can't build alone."

What this means for plumbing owners

A Keller shop a master plumber opened in 1995 is now one of the three names a national platform leads with, and that platform was assembled by buying brands from existing groups. One of those groups, PPH, supplies leadership and shared services to independent home services companies, and its chief executive now runs the buyer.

For an owner weighing a growth partner, a management-services arrangement, or selling to private equity outright, this deal puts a concrete question on the table: if the partner's own business is sold or recapitalized, does the owner's company go with it, and who becomes the counterparty? Brewer pitches the platform against buy-and-build, but the agreement an owner signs is what settles that answer. Owners comparing these models can see how buyers approach plumbing and other home services businesses.
